The Holidays were busy, but Highland Village Rotary and our Marcus High School Interact Club found time to bring some holiday cheer to over 150 families in the Denton County area. The Clubs partnered with Market Street to get donations and provide complete meals for 150 families. Highland Village Rotary members could also be seen at the Wal-mart on Justin Rod, ringing the bell for the Salvation Army and sipping some hot chocolate. Click more info to see the other great events Highland Village Rotary was involved in during the Holidays!
Thank you Thank you to all the Amazing People who turned up and turned it on for our 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament!!!!!

An officer is killed in the line of duty every 65 hours. Throughout history, there have been more line of duty deaths in the State of Texas than any other state or territory. The Texas Police Chiefs Association’s Fallen Officer Fund provides monetary assistance to Texas families of fallen heroes within 24 hours following an oficer’s line of duty death.

The TXFallenPD Tribute Event is a community event that takes place at The Shops of Highland Village.  Activities include a 5K run and civilian bike race in the morning and a Police Officer bike race and a Police Officer Obstacle Course Competition in the afternoon. There is live music, demonstrations, raffle prizes, a silent auction, kid zone, food, and drinks throughout the day.

We are proud to announce the Gavin A. Fleten Memorial Servant’s Heart Award to honor our co-founder, friend and THE model of what it means to have a servant’s heart.  From his years of delivering Meals on Wheels to serving as the de facto hunter/gatherer for anyone in need of his unique ability to bring people together for a common cause, Gavin was a force of nature unlike any other.  Gavin was not driven toward service by any particular cause.  He derived his passion from his desire to connect with people and to foster a network of connections that went deeper than most of us could ever strive to achieve on our own.
Founder of Team Mercy Allison D'Auteuil spoke to the club on August 23rd.

The lifeblood of the each Rotary club is based on the growth of new membership. New members bring new ideas and renewed energy into a club. The process for proposing new members is somewhat tedious, but is so for a reason. The following steps must be followed when proposing a new member to a Rotary Club.
