Highland Village Rotary joined other area Rotaries in co-sponsoring the Unity in Communities luncheon. Other sponsors included the Chamber of commerce for Lewisville, Flower Mound, the HVBA, and Independent Financial. This is a great annual event that celebrated its 15th year. This function brings together elected officials from Denton County, the Cities of Highland Village, Lewisville, Flower Mound, Rotarians, volunteers, and other leaders in our community to celebrate area non-profit organizations. Cloud 9 Charities is an organization of local leaders and business owners with a passion for giving back to our community and working to make it a better place for us all. One hundred percent of the net proceeds from our community events funds Bedtime Rescue. Bedtime Rescue is an operation which houses moms and kids in crisis. This effort alone has housed families for over 1800 nights. With our community growing, so is the need from so many helpless moms and children. It is Cloud 9 Charities' greatest mission to provide as many safe nights as needed for these families.
